The char from the grill offers an earthier, deeper taste to the pizza crust and brings a touch of summer to a year-round classic. This grilled pizza recipe is homemade from start to finish, so you can be ever the prouder of your resulting pizza masterpiece.
I kept this recipe simple for a reason – to give you room to improvise according to your tastes. Directions
While the grill heats up to high, shape the dough into four 10-inch circles. Carefully transfer a dough round to the hot grill, fitting as many of the rounds as you can at one time and cook until grill marks appear, about 3 minutes. Then flip each and move to the coolest part of the grill for the rest of the process.
Brush the top of the rounds with olive oil and then top each with an even amount of the cherry tomato halves. Sprinkle the cheese atop each round and follow up with a garnish of fresh basil. Cover the grill and cook for another 3-5 minutes, or until the cheese has melted and the dough has fully cooked through. Serve immediately.
