These days, it’s hard to see past the political mess and try to see the virtue of our nation’s politicians. But whether we agree with their policies or not, these seven politicians are killing the fitness game, and that’s something we can all vote for, yes? Not only does it take a lot of emotional fitness to maintain politic power but also it demands physical prowess to combat the long hours, stress, and, well, more stress. It’s no wonder many of our U.S. politicians take to the gym to release their anguish and come back to Congress floor a bit more sane of mind.

7 Fittest Politicians

1. Representative Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ)

Member of the U.S. House of Representatives, Kyrsten Sinema reportedly wakes up every morning at 5 a.m. to go on a run, often with a few marines, and doesn’t get home until 10 p.m. She has competed in the Ironman Competition and spends her weekends training for marathons.

3. House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI).

In 2011, when our current House Speaker Paul Ryan was highlighted as TIME’s person of the year runner-up, he posed in his most natural element: lifting weights. Ryan is an avid P90X devotee. He works out from 6:30 to 8 a.m. every morning, and during that time completes a P90X session, following by yoga, CrossFit, and cycling. He holds the most political power out of anyone on this list, and he is clearly in fighting shape to keep it.

The U.S. representative for California got into triathlons in his 50s. Schiff biked in the AIDS Life Cycle race, which is 545 miles, and has completed endurance races in D.C. Philly, NYC, and Malibu. He told GOOD Sports,I’m going to need the outlet more than ever (under the Trump administration). It’s been rough. There’s nothing better to really reduce stress, clear your head. I’m a big believer in sound body, sound mind. I always feel better when I’m working out. I think it helps me do my job better in many ways.”

5. Representative Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI)

She works out with Aaron Schock, Paul Ryan, and Scott Peters, so you know she has her fitness on point. Tulsi is a fan of P90X, surfs, performs Brazilian martial art Capoeira, served two combat tours in the Middle East, and holds the rank of major in the Hawaii Army National Guard. Bad. Ass.

His program involves five to seven days a week of either a 60-to 75-minute P90X training session or a 60-to 75-minute weight routine, focusing on high-weight, low-rep exercises, and alternating upper-and lower-body days.
