5 Steps to ‘Finding Your Purpose’ and Alignment With Your Authentic Self
Do you ever feel like something is missing, but you just can’t put your finger on it? That, or you’re feeling lost in your personal or professional life, like a ship without a sail?
Maybe you have goals to reach, but you’re not sure of the steps you need to take in order to meet them. Or maybe, just maybe, you’re ready to dig deep within yourself, to break down those walls, and leave the past behind as you embark on a new journey of self-discovery.
If this sounds like you, then aligning with your authentic self and finding your purpose may be exactly what you need.
Meet Natalie Brite, intuitive business and life alignment coach, speaker and co-creator for “soulpreneurs” and growth seekers who wish to become deliberate creators of their lives so that they can manifest their dreams and goals with flow.
“I’m for people who no longer want to let their past and limiting patterns hold them back from living as the fullest expression of themselves,” says Brite.
As both an influencer and coach, Brite teaches in the business and life alignment realms, helping others tap into and reveal their fullest light potential as she guides them to authentic truth and teaches them how to live in a space of ultimate fulfillment and abundance, personally and professionally.
“Your values and personal beliefs are everything!”
Brite was kind enough to share her recommendations on how you can get started on your unique journey of aligning with your authentic self and finding your purpose. Keep in mind that you may still benefit from a little extra momentum, which is why she also offers one-on-one coaching, courses, and masterclasses, among other avenues, including her inspirational Facebook group that’s more like a sisterhood, to help you meet your goals.
1. Values and Beliefs
Do your values and beliefs still serve you in an authentic way?
Values and beliefs stem from life’s teachings, as well as your own discoveries, from the people you encounter, and the environment around you. Oftentimes, as you grow, you realize that what you thought you aligned with no longer fits who you have become.
“Your values and personal beliefs are everything!,” urges Brite. “We tend to not even realize how much these control us, what we do and what we manifest. This is where we usually have to release old beliefs that don’t serve our truth and authenticity and then begin creating new belief system pathways for our fullest expression of ourselves to come out.”
2. Overcoming Fear
Does change and/or failure frighten you?
Fear can be a destroyer of dreams, but it doesn’t have to be. Aside from judgment, it is so often the biggest and most difficult obstacle holding you back you from finding your purpose and discovering your authentic self. By reconditioning your mind and taking those first steps, you hold the power to overcome your fears.
“Fear tends to be the thing that shows our shadow and where we are keeping ourselves small and limited,” Brite reveals. “Fear tends to be attached to our limiting beliefs, so when you work through rewiring your belief systems, your fear then begins to dissipate so that your power and truth can take over.”
3. Intuition
What is your inner voice telling you? Is it pushing you in a direction you haven’t yet explored?
Intuition is your soul’s inner guiding light. If you can become more in tune with your body’s vibrational compass, it will rarely steer you wrong. Intuition through mindfulness has the power to help you along the path to discovering your authentic self.
Brite believes, “Intuition and learning how to tap in and listen to it helps us discover who we truly are. We tend to be so shut off from our own inner guidance system and emotions, so when we begin to learn how to tap back in, incredible things happen and so much fulfillment and abundance can be discovered.”
“Part of tapping into your authenticity and truth is also learning to see the light and beauty in everything.”
4. Judgment
Are you hard on yourself, always striving for “perfection”? Do you compare yourself to others and either get discouraged or quit?
Judgment is like fear in that it can quickly extinguish your inner light. Comparing yourself to others and harshly judging yourself only slows the process of discovering your authentic-self and finding your purpose.
“Part of tapping into your authenticity and truth is also learning to see the light and beauty in everything, noticing that you are no different than anyone else which brings more of a sense of community and collective/unity consciousness,” explains Brite. “This helps us to not feel so separated from the universe and thus brings an awesome sense of co-creator power.”
5. Energy and Spirituality
Do you feel out of alignment, uneasy, anxious, or discontent? Are old spiritual beliefs holding you back from becoming who you are meant to be?
When the energy within you and the spiritual beliefs you manifest are not compatible with who you are, who you are meant to be, or who you wish to be, they can put a halt to the growth you must achieve on the path to self-discovery.
“Understanding your own vibration, energy and life force is a game-changer for developing personal power and truth. When you can go deeper within yourself and begin to feel your own life force, you can begin to understand what is you versus what is not,” suggests Brite. “Helping one to create contrast, see their shadow, and begin activating their power of choice, [is] where we can then start choosing to align with our truth and authenticity over falsehoods.”
