Over $1,339 in prizes. Farmer features from America’s vast landscape of sustainable champions who are doing incredible things to make this earth a better place. Farm-to-table eats from our nation’s most inspired chefs. It’s that time of year again. And we think it deserves a two-week — down and dirty — online party. If we could fit you all in our living room, we would. Welcome to Earth Day 2012!
We are so excited to be celebrating America’s sustainable farmers this year! We see these changemakers for all the good they are doing, and we want you to see them too. Up close and personal. Sustainable, organic farming is happening all around us, in major cities and communities. Perhaps even in your own yard! It’s essential to our economy, our health and the health of our land. That’s why Organic Authority is celebrating America’s sustainable farmers with a signature online event this Earth Day. We love them so much, in fact, the party lasts nearly two weeks. The fun begins Monday April 16th and runs through April 28th, and we guarantee you want in on this!
Over the 13-days, we’ll interview and feature farmers from across the nation, and chefs who cook their own farm-to-table eats. And to celebrate our devoted readers and fans (and foodies, no doubt), we’re giving away over $1,339 in prizes! To enter for your chance to win one of these exciting prizes all you have to do is sign up for the Organic Authority newsletter. To join the party, post a photo on our Facebook page (or tag us in it), or post it to Twitter with the hashtag #OAEarthDay doing one of the following:
1. Shopping at your favorite local farmers market
2. Posing with your favorite farmer
3. Eating your favorite locally sourced food – this could be at a restaurant, at home, at the market or wherever you enjoy eating fresh, seasonal and local eats!
Or, in lieu of a photo, you can submit a link with a shout out to your favorite local farmer’s website to enter. Each submission is automatically entered and a winner will be selected at random.
We’ll be doing reader roundups of our favorite photos, so yours might appear in an Organic Authority article (please read terms for posting below).
